Light Meter Mobile iOS App Design

A light meter app that helps photographers balance shutter speed, aperture, and ISO before taking the shot.

The interface makes exposure readable at a glance: a live meter shows the measured value and metering zone while the exposure triangle keeps every setting connected.

A rotating iris frames the live histogram as the exposure marker settles at zero, turning a technical adjustment into a clear visual moment.

From ND-filter compensation to saved camera setups and location-based shoot logs, the app keeps each measurement ready for the next frame.

Live Exposure Meter A central exposure reading and metering zone show how the scene is being measured, so the photographer can judge the light before committing to a frame.

Exposure Triangle Shutter speed, aperture, and ISO stay in one connected control system, making the trade-offs between motion, depth, and sensitivity visible.

Histogram Detail Highlights, shadows, and clipping indicators reveal where a scene holds detail and where the image may lose it.

ND Filter Math Filter compensation recalculates shutter speed around the selected ND value, keeping a planned exposure intact in bright conditions.

Saved Camera Setup Camera body, lens, and frame settings are collected into a reusable setup, reducing repeated configuration between shoots.

Location Shoot Log Saved measurements are grouped by location, creating a practical record of lighting decisions for a return visit or a matching shot.
