P + Buildings — Negative Space City Skyline Lettermark for Real Estate & Property Brands

The city was always inside the letter.

CONSTRUCTION BREAKDOWN:

The foundation is a bold geometric P — a wide rectangular stem and a full semicircular bowl, both rendered at maximum weight for architectural authority. The defining move: the lower half of the composition replaces the conventional stem-and-counter structure with a city skyline. Three vertical columns of varying heights rise from the baseline inside the P's body — the tallest at center, flanked by progressively shorter towers. The peaks of these columns are chevron-cut at their tops, giving each tower a pointed roof profile that reads simultaneously as a building and as the ascending bars of a growth chart.

The towers are not placed inside the P — they ARE the lower half of the P's structure. The stem's left edge becomes the tallest tower's left wall. The bowl's inner curve becomes the curved right boundary of the rightmost tower. The white lines between towers are not decorative gaps — they are the structural separations that make each column a distinct building while also being the negative space that makes the P legible as a letterform.

Read one: a bold geometric P — the brand initial, legible at any scale.

Read two: a city skyline — multiple towers of varying heights rising from the baseline, contained within the letter.

Read three: an upward growth chart — the ascending column heights encoding progress, ambition, and rising value.

COLOR PSYCHOLOGY:

Architectural charcoal (#2B2B2B) — not black for minimalism's sake, but the precise grey-black of structural steel and concrete; the color of buildings under construction, blueprints, and the material permanence of real property. Drafting-table grey (#E8E8E8) — the background tone of architectural drawings and planning documents; a neutral ground that makes the mark read as a precision instrument rather than a decorative graphic.
